| So, you'll never guess who came to Virginia to help Ken Cuccinelli this week. Mitt Romney. In the past few weeks, Cuccinelli has been calling in favors with Republican donors' favorite politicians. First it was Marco Rubio, then Jeb Bush, now Mitt Romney. Coming soon: Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. Cuccinelli's breaking out all the stops in advance of Monday's fundraising deadline because he knows that the financial reports we have to file will be scrutinized line by line. This is the last opportunity for the press to analyze the success (or failure) of our campaigns based on how much grassroots support is in our corner. We cannot allow Cuccinelli to top us. We just can't. Will you pitch in $5 right now to make sure we keep our momentum going and reach our $200,000 Rapid Response Goal? Right now we're still $58,438 away from hitting that goal — and falling short could mean that we aren't able to reach all of the voters we need to talk to during the last month of this campaign. It could also mean a week of press coverage about the momentum shifting from one candidate to the other. With recent polls showing that this race is still close, that's something we just can't afford. Make sure we don't fall short of our goal by making a $5 donation today. The finish line is in sight . Let's close this campaign out strong! Thanks for all your help, - Terry |
