Catherine, We’ve had a busy few months at the Republican National Committee since releasing the Growth and Opportunity Project Report back in March. Some great progress has been made, and I’m excited to announce that the RNC has hired its first-ever Chief Technology Officer who will be leading the effort to expand our data and digital capabilities. An experienced veteran of Silicon Valley, Andy Barkett joins the RNC from Facebook, where he managed multiple teams of production engineers responsible for systems servicing mobile infrastructure, messaging, advertisements, newsfeeds, platforms and payments. This is another step we’re taking to build a stronger Republican Party for 2013 and beyond. I am confident that with Andy’s experience we will successfully build out the digital and technology infrastructure necessary to support Republican candidates from the state house to the White House.
